Tap Into Money

As more and more people face financial troubles, they resort to internet gurus to provide hope.

In this classic from oddball cultural critic Carlos Mandelbaum, we’re offered a hilarious glimpse into a bizarre world of internet hucksters and charlatans.

What the gurus are selling here is the magic power of tapping certain points on your body and
intoning magic chants in order to “tune in” to the “frequency” of money.

Getting rich has never been simpler.

But despite the absurdity of it all, there’s something sad about it as well.

That people would feel the need to invoke magical thinking in order to pay their bills is a serious indictment of a society that is unable to provide basic economic security for a growing number of people.
