Kyle Wiens is the co-founder of iFixit.com, a site that helps people repair their “unrepairable” consumer electronics — from iPhones to laptops and digital cameras — by supplying them with parts and free repair manuals.
So it’s no surprise that Kyle is adamant about rooting out sloppy English usage, so adamant that each and every prospective iFixit employees must take a grammar test.
“Good grammar is credibility, especially on the Internet,” Kyle tells the Harvard Business Review. “In blog posts, on Facebook statuses, in e-mails, and on company websites, your words are all you have.”
